Sketch with Parametrics
We can find that sketch in a very different parametric software by drawing a line in 2D CAD.
We can make a sketch that changes according to certain rules, and maintaining relationships through changes.
This is the basis of parametric design.
In addition to the 2D sketch, SolidWorks can also create a 3D sketch possible. Of the two methods,
2D sketches are much more widely used. We can create 2D sketch in a selected plane, planar solid,
or surface face and then use it to determine which form to features such as Extrude, Revolve, and
another. Relations in the 2D sketch is often made between sketch entities and other entities that may or may not be in a field sketch. In situations where other entities are not in the sketch plane, the entities out-of-field projected onto the sketch plane in the direction normal to the
sketch plane. This does not happen for a 3D sketch.
You can use a 3D sketch for the Hole Wizard, routing, weldments, and the creation of complex shapes,
among other applications.
