.
To enable the PropertyManager, click Tools, Options, System Options, General, and select the Enable PropertyManager check box. When you finish drawing an entity, the PropertyManager appears at the left of the graphics area.
Edit a value and click elsewhere on the PropertyManager to see the change in the graphics area.
To close the PropertyManager, click in the graphics area or type a new command.
The Property Manager is where you go to set most of the feature parameters, and where you edit the properties of selected items such as sketch elements. You can manually switch to the Property-Manager using the tabs on the top of the Display panel, or allow it to pop up automatically when your input is needed. The leftmost tab in the row of icons is the FeatureManager tab, the second from the left is the PropertyManager tab, the second from the right is the ConfigurationManager tab, and the rightmost tab is the ToolAnalyst . On the other hand, you will often need to make a selection from the FeatureManager at the same time that the PropertyManager pops up and takes its place. You can disable this automatic pop-up behavior by choosing Tools > Options > System Options >  General and selecting the
Auto-show PropertyManager setting.

System Options are not part of the document.
Changes in System Options will have an effect on all the all the systems both current and future.
ANSI or ISO Dimension Standard, and other Units are set in Document Properties
ANSI or ISO Standard Dimensions, Units and Properties are set out in Document Properties.

Steps we need to do to set options for the image:
    Click Tools> Options> System Options> Miscellaneous.
Then choose what we want to set and then click OK.

Reset All option is to restore all systems, not only on the current page as well for the system default.

Eliminate duplicate model of dimensions on the insert

  • The term document structure can refer to many things, but in this instance we’re
referring to the relationships between SolidWorks documents. In SolidWorks,
certain documents cannot work without other documents. For example, a part
can exist on its own with no outside dependencies, but its drawing will fail if you
delete the part. In addition, any assemblies that reference the part will also be
affected. In SolidWorks, files such as parts that are referenced by other files, such as assemblies and drawings, are called referenced documents.
The key to documents in SolidWorks is the bidirectional associativity of most
of the documents. As changes are made to a model, such as dimensional changes, the drawing is updated. Also, changes made to the drawing, such as updates to tables and in some cases dimensions, are reflected in the referenced models.
Figure 2.1 illustrates the most basic document structure: one drawing with a single part file being referenced. This relationship between the part and drawing allows for changes made to the part to be reflected in the drawing and, in some cases, changes made to the drawing to be reflected in the part. Figure 2.2 introduces an assembly into the mix. The assembly shown has its own drawing that documents the assembly instructions, and the two part files each have their own drawings to document the manufacturing process for the parts.

  • Chamfer tool is a tool to create the feature side, on the edges, faces, or vertices.
Angle chamfer distance to adjust the distance and angle of the Property Manager or the graphics area.
An arrow appears pointing to the direction where the distance will be measured.
Select the arrows to flip direction, or click Flip direction
To make a chamfer, the steps we have to do is:
Click the chamfer on the toolbar feature, or click Insert, Features, chamfer.
    Under Parameter chamfer:
Select an entity in the graphics area to edge and face or Vertex.
    Select> Angle distance
Select Equal Distance to assign a single value for the distance or the vertex.
Select the Keep check box features if you want to retain features Such as cuts or extrudes That would otherwise be removed when you apply the chamfer.
Select preview mode: Full preview, Partial preview, or No preview.
    Click OK.

  • If we have a feature pattern in one part, we have to use a pattern-driven feature-driven feature pattern instead of a local pattern
Rebuild time may be longer, but the associativity between the part and assembly will be protected from damage / error.
Linear Pattern Property Manager will arise when we make one or more patterns of features in one or two linear path.

    Property Manager is to control:
    direction 1
    Pattern Direction.
Setting the direction for Direction 1.
Select the edge, linear line, axis, or dimension.
If necessary, click Reverse Direction to reverse the pattern.
    Spacing.
Set the distance between the pattern for Direction 1.
    Number of Instances.
Set the number of pattern for Direction 1.
This amount includes the original feature or feature selection.

    direction 2
Creating a direction for Direction 2.
    Spacing.
Set the distance between the pattern for Direction 2.
    Number of Instances.
Set the number of pattern for Direction 2.
